Rosecrest Special Events had the great opportunity to produce a house concert last week at a private home in the Oakland Hills featuring the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Lori McKenna.  Here are a few of the “ABC’s” to throw the best party of the year.

Designed by Floribunda

Pick a Theme:  An Indian inspired autumn night.  We chose a bright pink and orange color scheme to coordinate with the Indian Food Truck and to perfectly compliment the fall evening.  Guests would be enjoying a cocktail hour and dinner outside.

Set the Table:  Ornate pink linens, bright orange napkins with a sparkly bangle as decoration, and happy orange marigolds all said Indian and fall!

Organize the Bar: Lots of red and white wine, Indian beer, and an autumnal inspired Sangria (brandy was the secret ingredient!).  The recipe is detailed in one of our earlier blogs.

Set the Stage:  The artist and guests will be coming in soon!

Dinner by Kasa Indian

Dinnertime:  Fun and delicious food under a starry canopy.  Thanks to Kasa Indian for delectable food and impeccable service!

Dessert anyone?  Guests enjoyed scrumptious red velvet cupcakes, along with chocolate and raspberry macarons.  Soooo good!

…And the Main Event:  Lori McKenna performed 2 sets for 50 guests.   Her songs brought the audience to tears, and her stories had many laughing for days to come.  Her songwriting and beautiful voice gave these guests a night they will never forget.  Listen to her stories, and revel in her gorgeous telling. www.lorimckenna.com.  And one last note – this all happened in someone’s house!  It can happen in yours, too.  Enjoy this beautiful fall!
