Welcome to a new year of parties for 2015 – Happy New Year!  As the fresh event season takes off, we wanted to share a menu and dinner table setting we created for New Year’s Eve.  This could easily be reproduced for a special birthday, or Oscar night extravaganza.  Enjoy, and we hope to see you at a party this year!

In planning for this special gathering of 10 guests for a New Year’s Eve celebration, we knew we wanted it to be elegant, sparkling, and memorable.  A gorgeous sequined silver tablecloth served as the perfect foundation.  Then we added in silver rimmed china plates and glassware.  So it wasn’t too formal, we used mismatched silver flatware, and the Tiffany blue satin napkins were casually laid on the plates – no fancy fold, just nice and easy.   Alternating silver and turquoise blue mercury glass votives sparkled, turquoise blue glass ornament balls floated from above, and a flurry of bright pink peonies and tulips* ran down the length of the table.   *Thanks Floribunda!

And the menu!  Keeping it very “Continental,” we went all out for this celebratory evening:

New Year’s Eve Dinner

Potato Chips and Caviar Dip & Ahi tuna poke

Garden salad with persimmon and pomegranate seeds

Roasted beef filet with gorgonzola  sauce, roasted cherry tomatoes, and creamy mashed potatoes

Chocolate fondue & lemon mousse cake

It was a decadent night all around – just they way it should be!  Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for following us, and allowing us to enjoy every single party!

Cheers,

Tiffany
