Our Kind of House Concert

There are lots of different kinds of house concerts out there these days.  My good friend and Midlife Mixtape blogger extraordinaire, Nancy Kho, recently featured a really fun type of “sit on a picnic blanket and soak up the music” kind of concert in her music review:  http://midlifemixtape.com/2013/07/concert-review-peter-case.html.  There are many types of these in Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco – you just drop in, pay a few dollars at the door, bring your own six pack, if you like, listen to some fun music, and off you go.  http://avonovamusic.com.  It’s all about hearing new, live music, in an intimate setting – a gift for both the musicians and audience alike.

When you work with Rosecrest Special Events to plan your house concert, we do things a little differently, with the guarantee that it’s a night you’ll never forget.  First, we work with you to figure out the best way a house concert can work at your house.  Do you have a perfect backyard and it’s late summer, or would theater type seating in your living room be the ideal situation for a winter evening’s soiree?  With a Rosecrest Special Events’ house concert, you are guaranteed these three things:

  1. A beautifully decorated venue with a theme that compliments your home, your interests, and the time of year.
  2. A perfectly executed cocktail hour, followed by really good food – maybe it’s an Indian food truck, or heavy appetizers, or a sit down dinner for 50 with family style Italian food.  Whatever your idea, or dinner you’ve always wanted to have, we can make it happen.
  3.
