On the first night of December, alumni from the Golden Gate University School of Accounting descended upon their alma mater and discovered a Winter Wonderland!  Golden Gate University officials wanted to make use of their modern conference room (which normally serves as 3 separate classrooms!) on the 6th floor when they decided to host a dinner for 110 people honoring a former Dean of the Accounting School.  No problem!

Guests were greeted with champagne as they entered the transformed rooms.  Beautifully lit trees, gorgeous white flower arrangements, silver place settings, and lots and lots of candles created a beautiful winter setting.

A jazz trio got everyone into a festive mood during the cocktail hour (music makes the party, my friends!), while guests feasted on sesame seed seared ahi on a won ton crisp with wasabi aioli (so good!), thinly sliced beef carpaccio with salsa vert on a crostini (my new favorite appetizer), and  cherry tomato with goat cheese and chive on puff pastry.

The rest of the night was a wonderful mix of celebrating Golden Gate University’s 105th Anniversary and recognizing the esteemed career of their former Dean, along with a delicious three course dinner and perfectly paired wine.  It was so much fun transforming classrooms into an elegant dining experience for this wonderful celebration.
